Tbilisi: Georgia has fully repaid its long-standing debts to Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, data on the country’s external debt has been available since 2003. By the end of that year, Georgia’s total public debt amounted to USD 1.56 billion, with USD 156.9 million owed to Russia.

It is reported that as of the end of August of the current year, Georgia’s total public debt amounted to USD 9.09 billion, marking a decrease of USD 50 million compared to the previous month. Georgia’s debts to Azerbaijan and Armenia have recently been approximately equal, amounting to less than USD 1 million.
