It is waiting for the authorization from the World Health Organization, but it has the authorization of one of the strict regulators”, – Amiran Gamkrelize told Georgian Public Broadcaster.

In addition, according to Public Broadcaster, Gamkrelidze noted that Georgia continues to hold direct negotiations with vaccine producers such as Pfizer, Nonavax, Johnson & Johnson and others.

For information, Georgia launched its vaccination process on March 15. The country has Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines at its disposal. The first groups to be vaccinated are medical personnel and citizens over the age of 65.
