Tbilisi: 'The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line will increase the value of the Middle Corridor as another important transport hub," Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili said in an interview with the Imedi TV channel, APA's local bureau reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Kvrivishvili emphasized the mutual interest of both Georgian and Azerbaijani sides in expediting the project implementation. She expressed satisfaction with the collaborative efforts that led to the signing of a protocol for the full commissioning of the railway project during Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze's visit to Azerbaijan.

Kvrivishvili announced that the official opening of the project is imminent, highlighting its significance not only for Georgia and Azerbaijan but also for Turkey. The railway line is poised to enhance the strategic value of the Middle Corridor, reinforcing its role as a key transport hub in the region.
