Georgian PM Highlights Strategic Infrastructure Projects Elevating Georgia’s Regional Role

Tbilisi: ‘The Anaklia deep-sea port, the East-West expressway, the Black Sea submarine cable project, the Tbilisi international airport project and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line strengthen Georgia’s position as a regional connectivity hub and its stable development,’ stated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during his address at a panel held within the framework of the V Tbilisi Silk Way Forum, APA’s local bureau reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, these initiatives enable Georgia to fully harness its transit capabilities, significantly contributing to the evolution of the new Silk Road, known as the Middle Corridor.

Kobakhidze emphasized that the Middle Corridor is recognized as one of the most efficient transport routes linking the East and the West. He also highlighted Georgia’s active efforts in deepening regional and global integration. This strategic approach aims to expand trade, attract investments, and enhance capital flows, positioning Georgia as a multifunctional and multi-faceted hub.
