Tbilisi: Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has emphasized the close relations between Georgia and its neighboring countries, specifically highlighting ties with Azerbaijan and Armenia. He shared these insights with journalists, as reported by APA's local bureau.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Kobakhidze stated that Georgia is committed to strengthening its relationships with neighboring nations. In recent months, he has made three state visits to Central Asian countries, while Georgia has hosted two heads of state from the region. The Prime Minister underscored the importance of expanding both political and economic relations as a key priority for Georgia.

Kobakhidze further highlighted the strategic objectives of Georgia's foreign policy, which focus on leveraging the country's geographical position. He pointed out that Georgia benefits significantly from free trade agreements with numerous countries. Additionally, he noted the remarkable increase in freight turnover along the Middle Corridor, which has grown approximately sevenfold since 2020.
