German-Azerbaijani Conference Focuses on Infrastructure and Energy

Baku:The 'German-Azerbaijani Strategic Partnership and Connectivity Conference 2026' is currently taking place in Baku, centered on the theme 'Financing Infrastructure, Green Energy and Digital Connectivity along the Middle Corridor.'

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the conference aims to enhance bilateral and regional economic cooperation while mobilizing German and European resources, including financing, technology, and expertise, to promote sustainable development in Azerbaijan and the surrounding region.

The event gathers government officials, financial institutions, project owners, and business leaders from Germany, Azerbaijan, and other partner countries. Discussions will cover investment opportunities, as well as financing for strategic projects related to infrastructure, energy transition, and digital connectivity in the Middle Corridor.

Attendees expected at the conference include Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev, and Dirk Lölke, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Azerbaijan, alongside representatives from other institutions.
