Baku: Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, has extended his congratulations to the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of May 28, Independence Day. In a message of goodwill, he expressed Germany's interest in strengthening bilateral relations amid global challenges.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Steinmeier highlighted the importance of collaboration between Germany and Azerbaijan in addressing unresolved conflicts, climate change, and geopolitical tensions. He acknowledged the encouraging progress in the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, expressing hope for sustainable peace in the region.

Steinmeier concluded his message by once again congratulating the people of Azerbaijan on their national holiday and extending warm wishes to the Azerbaijani President and his family.
