Aghdam: ‘Fantastic work is being done in Aghdam,’ said Oliver Kompkens, a traveler from Germany, while visiting Aghdam with other international travelers.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Kompkens expressed his amazement at the ongoing restoration and construction activities in the region. This marks his second visit to Azerbaijan; his first was in 2017 when he was a professor in Moscow and traveled to Baku for a conference. During his previous visit, he was captivated by the country’s atmosphere, describing it as distinctly Europeanized and modern compared to other post-Soviet countries.

Kompkens highlighted the revitalization occurring in the liberated city of Aghdam, noting the road and infrastructure development. He extended his congratulations to the Azerbaijani people and government for their efforts, expressing eagerness to return to Aghdam once the restoration is complete in the coming years.
