Global Baku Forum Recognized as Leading Platform for International Dialogue

Tashkent: The annual Global Baku Forum has solidified its status as a leading platform for global dialogue, as highlighted by Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a high-level meeting titled ‘Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Europe-Cooperation for Shared Development.’

According to Trend News Agency, President Mirziyoyev expressed his deep gratitude to the International Center of Nizami Ganjavi for organizing an esteemed gathering in Tashkent. The event brought together prominent politicians, statesmen, and leaders of international organizations who contribute significantly to their countries’ development, international cooperation, and mutual trust.

The president also highlighted the special role of the center in preserving and promoting the unique creative heritage of Nizami Ganjavi, an esteemed Azerbaijani thinker known as the ‘Sultan of Poets.’ This reference was made by the Uzbek poet Alisher Navoi, underlining the cultural significance and historical ties between the nations.

President Mirziyoyev emphasized the forum’s pivotal nature, noting an advanced paradigm in relations with Europe. He stated that a landmark resolution has been enacted to establish a synergistic alliance between Uzbekistan and the European Union member states. The president further elaborated that a Memorandum of Understanding on Augmented Collaboration and Synergy with the European Union is expected to be formalized in the coming months.
