Baku: The Global Islamic Economists Program has been launched within the framework of the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group held in Baku, APA reports. This significant initiative marks a collaborative effort to enhance economic development across member countries through the implementation of Islamic finance and economic strategies.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the program was introduced by Issa Faye, the Director General for Global Practices and Partnerships at the Islamic Development Bank. The initiative is a result of the collaboration among the Islamic Development Bank's Centre of Excellence in Kuala Lumpur, INCEIF University, and Bank Negara Malaysia. Faye emphasized that the primary goal of the global Islamic economy is to boost economic progress in member nations via integrated Islamic financial and economic frameworks.
The program is set to provide strategic mentorship and practical research opportunities for mid-career professionals. These opportunities will be available to those working in the financial sector, central banks, and capital markets, offering them a platform to advance their expertise in the field of Islamic economics.
