Baku: The International Energy Agency (IEA) has raised its forecast for global liquefied natural gas (LNG) trade growth in 2025 from the previous 5% to 5.5%, APA-Economics reports, citing the Agency. ‘By the end of 2025, global LNG supply is expected to increase by 5.5% or 30 billion cubic meters. This growth will mainly be driven by the implementation of new large-scale LNG projects in North America,’ the report notes.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Agency’s forecast indicates that by 2026, the growth rate of global LNG supply will reach its highest level since 2019, with a 7% increase or 40 billion cubic meters. This increase will primarily be supported by new LNG projects in the United States, Canada, and Qatar.
