Baku:Major indices in the US and Europe experienced gains in global stock markets, while mixed results were recorded in Asia.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, in the US, the Dow Jones index increased by 253.38 points, or 0.49%, reaching 51,521.28 points. The S&P 500 rose by 44.98 points, or 0.58%, to 7,818.93 points, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 122.58 points, or 0.45%, to 27,599.89 points. Both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite closed the session at record levels. Additionally, the NYSE Composite rose by 0.56%, and Canada's S&P/TSX Composite index increased by 0.37%.

European markets also saw a rise across all major indices. The Euro Stoxx 50 went up by 0.48% to 6,272.23 points, the UK's FTSE 100 climbed 0.42% to 10,541.69 points, and Germany's DAX gained 0.77% to reach 25,449.19 points. In contrast, the Asia-Pacific region experienced mainly negative dynamics. Japan's Nikkei 225 dropped by 0.74% to 70,163.43 points, and the TOPIX declined by 0.48% to 4,163.63 points. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell by 0.53% to 24,151.90 points, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 slipped slightly by 0.07% to 8,729.80 points. The latest available figure for China's CSI 300 index is from September 30, as the mainland Chinese markets are closed for the National Day holiday.

The primary influences on market dynamics include the stabilization of oil prices, declining bond yields, and increased demand for shares of US companies linked to artificial intelligence, which supported the record highs in the US and gains in Europe. In Asia, however, a renewed rise in oil prices and escalating tensions between Saudi Arabia and Yemen's Houthis contributed to investor caution. Additionally, the minutes from the Federal Reserve's September meeting remain a point of focus.
