Young Azerbaijani Researchers Participate in Antalya Astronautical Congress

Antalya:The National Scientific Team from Azerbaijan, consisting of 80 students, young professionals, researchers, and scientists, took an active part in the 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026) held in Antalya, Turkey.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event, themed 'The World Needs More Space,' included presentations by young Azerbaijani participants on various topics such as space science, research, exploration, communications, navigation, Earth observation, spaceflight, and the future and sustainability of space activities.

The young researchers presented their studies, exchanged views with the international scientific community, and discussed the challenges and opportunities for the future of space.

A total of 814 scientific papers from Azerbaijan were submitted to the Antalya Congress, marking a 28 percent increase from the previous year. This demonstrates the country's expanding scientific capabilities in the space sector.

The National Scientific Team's participation was organized by SPACE Academy under Azercosmos, with support from relevant state institutions and companies. The involvement of young Azerbaijanis underscores the nation's growing potential in space-related sciences and their increasing engagement in the field.
