GNAT Speaker Comments on Azerbaijan-Armenia Normalization Process

Baku: Trkiye welcomes the positive phase in the US-Iran talks, said Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Trkiye (GNAT) Numan Kurtulmus at the opening of the 20th Session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States in Baku, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Kurtulmus expressed hope that the agreement reached in the US-Iran negotiations will be adhered to, leading to continued positive dialogue and the cessation of hostilities against Iran by the United States and Israel. He emphasized the importance of ensuring a complete environment of peace.

Kurtulmus highlighted that halting Israeli military operations in Lebanon is a crucial component of the negotiations between the United States and Iran. He stated, "Lebanon belongs to the Lebanese. Palestine belongs to the Palestinians. Israel has never had any right over these countries and never will."

Additionally, Kurtulmus reaffirmed Trkiye's support for the ongoing peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, expressing hope that it will result in lasting peace.
