New york: The price of gold futures for February 2026 settlement on the Comex exchange, part of the New York Mercantile Exchange, has dropped below $4,700 per troy ounce for the first time since January 19. This decline marks a significant shift in the market, as trading data revealed the decrease in value, as reported by APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, as of 4:10 a.m. (01:10 a.m. GMT), the price of gold was recorded at $4,666.5 per troy ounce, reflecting a 4.91% decrease. This downward trend continued, and by 4:15 a.m. (01:15 a.m. GMT), the price further declined to $4,644.8, a fall of 5.35%. This marks the first time the price of gold has fallen below $4,650 since January 19, highlighting a notable shift in commodity trading dynamics.
