Baku: In the second quarter of this year, the average LBMA PM Gold Price fixing exceeded $4,500, marking a significant milestone in the global gold market. The official gold price, which serves as a benchmark, was recorded at $4,506.29 per troy ounce.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this figure represented an 8% decrease compared to the record level noted in the first quarter of this year. Despite this decline, the average LBMA PM Gold Price for the second quarter was still 37% higher than the corresponding period in 2025.
The report by the World Gold Council highlights the fluctuations in gold prices and underscores the ongoing volatility in the global market. The data reflects broader economic trends and the evolving dynamics of supply and demand in the precious metals sector.
