Baku: Bahar Muradova, Chair of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, engaged in discussions with Princess Lamia Bint Majid Al Saud, Secretary General at Alwaleed Philanthropies and Goodwill Ambassador for UN-Habitat, during the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting underscored the significance of platforms like WUF in fostering the exchange of ideas and experiences among nations while promoting collaborative projects. Muradova pointed out the evolving relationship between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia as a testament to this dynamic international cooperation.
Muradova shared insights about initiatives focused on promoting women's entrepreneurship and government support programs aimed at assisting women from martyrs' families in social, educational, and scientific domains.
Princess Lamia Bint Majid Al Saud discussed the foundation's contributions within the framework of "Saudi Vision 2030," highlighting reforms to protect women's rights and enhance their empowerment. The program includes projects designed to develop women's digital skills, provide psychological and medical support, and bolster economic opportunities.
The discussions also highlighted the importance of cooperation in enhancing women's societal roles and improving social welfare.
