Baku: A graduation ceremony for the ‘Basic Diving Course’ and the ‘Leadership in Diving Operations Course’ took place within the Naval Forces, as per the directive from the First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, the Press Service of the Ministry informed APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ceremony commenced with a moment of silence to honor the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Shehids who sacrificed their lives for their country. This was followed by a rendition of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Speakers at the event highlighted the importance of these courses in enhancing the qualifications and combat training of military personnel. The courses, attended by marines, Special Forces servicemen, and representatives from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, included activities such as underwater breath-holding, mastering diving operations and techniques, and practical training on leadership in diving operations. Participants gained professional diving skills through these comprehensive courses.

The ceremony concluded with the awarding of certificates to participants who successfully completed the courses, followed by a photo session to commemorate the event.
