Baku: Azerbaijan’s revenues from its main oil pipelines experienced a decrease in the first half of this year, amounting to 523,480.1 thousand manat. This figure represents a 2.7% decline compared to the previous year, as reported by the State Statistical Committee to APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the corresponding period in 2024 saw the revenue indicator at 538,277.6 thousand manat. During the same January-June period this year, Azerbaijan transported 18,513 thousand tons of oil through its pipelines, marking a 3.8% drop from the previous year. The majority of this transportation, 75.2%, was conducted via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil export pipeline, which handled 13,924.9 thousand tons during the reporting period, also reflecting a 3.8% decrease from the year before.

In 2024, the country’s revenues from main oil pipelines totaled 1,058,072.5 thousand manat, which was a 4% reduction from the preceding year. Last year, Azerbaijan transported 38,752.1 thousand tons of oil through its pipelines, a 2.5% decrease from the previous year, with 76% of the transportation occurring through the BTC pipeline. During that reporting period, 29,470.9 thousand tons were transported via BTC, representing a 2.4% decline from the year prior.
