Athens: Greece's Foreign Ministry has announced the relocation of its embassy from Tehran to Baku, Azerbaijan. The decision comes amid escalating security concerns in the Iranian capital, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ministry's spokeswoman, Liana Zotu, stated that the deteriorating security situation in Tehran has made it unsafe for the diplomatic mission to continue operations in the city. Consequently, the embassy has been moved to Baku to ensure the safety of its staff.

The report also highlighted that Greece has not issued a request for its citizens to leave Iran, as the Greek community there is small and primarily consists of family members and employees of the diplomatic mission. Specific details regarding the relocation process are being withheld due to security reasons, and the transition is currently underway.
