Istanbul: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan highlighted ongoing dialogue efforts between Trkiye and Armenia, emphasizing coordination with Azerbaijan. At a press conference following the trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Trkiye, Azerbaijan, and Georgia in Istanbul, Fidan stated, "We support the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia," as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Fidan expressed hope that Azerbaijan and Armenia would sign a peace agreement promptly. He underscored the need for addressing Azerbaijan's legitimate concerns as part of the peace process.
Fidan reiterated Trkiye's commitment to establishing peace in the South Caucasus. He noted that the willingness demonstrated by the involved parties has presented a concrete opportunity for regional stability.
The minister also mentioned that Trkiye continues its dialogue with Armenia in coordination with Azerbaijan. He highlighted significant progress in the Trkiye-Armenia normalization process over the past four years.
