Hamas Appeals to Russia, China, Algeria to Halt Israeli Operations in Gaza

BEIRUT: The Palestinian movement Hamas has reached out to Russia, China, and Algeria, requesting their intervention to halt Israeli operations in the Gaza Strip. This development was revealed by Osama Hamdan, a member of the Hamas political bureau.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Hamdan communicated the appeal to the Lebanese broadcaster Al Mayadeen. He stated, “We have asked Russia, China and Algeria to put an end to Israeli aggression against Gaza.” The request underscores Hamas’s attempt to garner international support amid ongoing tensions in the region. The involvement of major global players like Russia and China, as well as regional actor Algeria, could potentially influence the dynamics of the conflict.
