According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Alexia Putellas was awarded the women's Ballon d'Or after an impressive season with FC Barcelona, where she helped the team secure four trophies. Following her successful tenure at Barcelona, Putellas joined the London City Lionesses in the summer. This victory adds to her previous wins, making it her third women's Ballon d'Or award following her triumphs in 2021 and 2022.
