Nakhchivan: On November 13, Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Samir Nuriyev, introduced Jeyhun Jalilov, the newly appointed Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, to the public. Prior to the introduction ceremony, Nuriyev and Jalilov paid tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev by visiting his statue in the city of Nakhchivan and laying flowers at its base.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, at the ceremony, Samir Nuriyev highlighted that President Ilham Aliyev prioritizes the social, economic, and cultural development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. He noted the significant measures that have been implemented to foster growth in the region, which include the adoption of the ‘State Program on the socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027.’ The primary aim of this program is to enhance the region’s development by achieving sustainable economic and social growth, alongside ensuring the integration of Nakhchivan into the broader national economy.

Nuriyev further explained that the Action Plan to implement the State Program emphasizes the effective use of existing opportunities and the mobilization of resources to create a conducive business environment. The aim is to efficiently address tasks related to developing trade, export-oriented industries, agriculture, tourism, and infrastructure, as well as enhancing the social sphere and human capital.

During the ceremony, Nuriyev also referred to statements made by President Ilham Aliyev at a reception on November 12 concerning new appointments. He reiterated that service to the people, humility, and a responsible approach to official duties are the core working principles emphasized by the President. Nuriyev stressed that these principles should guide officials in their duties.

Conveying the President’s instructions and recommendations, Nuriyev expressed confidence that the new leadership in Nakhchivan would uphold the trust placed in them by the President of Azerbaijan.
