Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Confirms Receipt of Azerbaijani Note on “Russian House” Registration

Moscow: The head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Yevgeny Primakov, has confirmed the receipt of an official note from Azerbaijan concerning the registration requirements for the Russian Cultural Center, commonly referred to as “Rus Evi,” in Baku. This announcement was made during a broadcast on the Rossiya-24 television channel, as reported by APA’s Moscow correspondent.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Primakov elaborated that the note specifies the necessity for their representative office to be registered as a legal entity in alignment with local legislation governing the Russian Information and Cultural Center. The center, known locally as “Rus Evi” or “Russian House,” must adhere to these legal stipulations.

Primakov further revealed that the “Russian House” in Baku is required to vacate its current premises within a month and a half. This urgency is due to the property owner’s decision to sell the building. Meanwhile, negotiations for another location have hit a pause, as the owner of the prospective new site has temporarily suspended discussions.
