Shusha: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has declared that the country’s media is now equipped to effectively counter any slanderous campaigns. Speaking at the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum, the president highlighted the ongoing need for Azerbaijan to defend itself on the global stage.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized the importance of media as a tool to influence public opinion, particularly in the West. He noted the contributions of European colleagues who had raised pertinent questions during the forum about shaping public perceptions. The president asserted that a broader reach of Azerbaijani media would allow more precise, comprehensive, and fair information about the nation to reach the international community.

President Aliyev also pointed out that while significant progress has been made, there is still much to be accomplished. However, he expressed confidence in the current capabilities of Azerbaijan’s media to address and neutralize unpleasant slander campaigns, marking this as an important new reality for the country.
