Davos: President Isaac Herzog held multiple meetings with global leaders during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Herzog engaged with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, and International Atomic Energy Agency chief Rafael Grossi.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Herzog also met with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. During his session at the forum, he expressed optimism about reaching an agreement on the next stages of the ceasefire. While detailed readouts of the conversations were not provided, Herzog’s office highlighted his focus on the urgent need to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas and the full implementation of all stages of the hostage deal.
In a social media post, Zelensky mentioned his discussions with Herzog on Ukrainian-Israeli cooperation and welcomed the news of three hostages being released. Zelensky stated that their talks included shared challenges, collaboration in the security sphere, and attaining a just peace for Ukraine.
