BAKU: The Heydar Aliyev Center has unveiled “Feeling Free Like a Bird,” an installation by renowned British artist Yinka Shonibare. The piece, which focuses on climate change, depicts a woman on horseback with a globe for a head, releasing endangered African birds, and aims to highlight the pressing need to address economic and environmental issues.

According to Trend News Agency, the artwork is a collaboration between the Heydar Aliyev Center and London’s Steven Friedman Gallery. Shonibare, whose work is displayed in major museums and galleries worldwide, uses this installation to convey a message of urgency regarding global environmental challenges. The exhibition will be open to the public in Baku until April 6, 2025.
