Baku: Heydar Aliyev International Airport has obtained the international certification ISO 50001:2018 – Energy Management System, in recognition of its efforts to improve energy efficiency and environmental protection.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this achievement was realized through collaboration between the Health, Safety, Environment, Quality Department (HSEQ) and other relevant structural units. T‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬¦€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦€š¬…€œV Austria, a globally acknowledged auditing and certification body, conducted the certification process. The airport’s energy management procedures were evaluated as fully compliant with international standards.

The ISO 50001:2018 standard provides a flexible framework for enterprises to enhance energy efficiency, reduce consumption and costs, and lower carbon emissions. This is particularly vital for infrastructure with high energy demands, such as modern international airports.
