Throughout this period, the airport handled 45,205 flights, a 25% increase year-over-year, to over 80 destinations across the globe facilitated by 40 different airlines. This expansion has provided passengers with greater travel flexibility and a broader range of destinations, thereby enhancing user experience at the facility. International passenger traffic also saw a notable surge, with 52% of passengers, or approximately 2.68 million, op ting for foreign airlines. The most frequented international destinations included cities like Istanbul, Moscow, Tbilisi, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Delhi, which together attracted over 2.539 million passengers. The national air carrier of Azerbaijan, AZAL, reported a 41% increase in its passenger traffic, reaching a total of 3.054 million passengers, with 2.467 million on international flights. The airline's growth underscores its strengthening position in the global aviation market. Additionally, the Baku-Nakhchivan route remained in high demand, with passenger traffic on this route growing by 6% to reach 567,000 passengers. The number of flights to Nakhchivan also increased by 28%, totaling 2,651 flights during the nine months. This equates to an average of 12 flights per day on the route, offering substantial flexibility for passengers.
