BAKU: Heydar Aliyev International Airport is set to transition to its autumn-winter flight schedule on October 27, 2024, with the schedule remaining in effect until March 30, 2025. This seasonal change will bring adjustments to some flight schedules and introduce new routes.

According to Trend News Agency, 39 airlines, including 18 low-cost carriers, will be operating from Baku Airport to approximately 80 destinations during the new season. Notably, Male, the capital of the Maldives, has been added to the list of destinations. Additionally, there will be an increase in the number of flights to Aktau, Jeddah, Doha, and Kuwait, offering passengers greater flexibility and convenience in travel options.

The airport has undertaken comprehensive preparatory measures to ensure safe and uninterrupted operations throughout the winter season. Equipment for snow removal and chemical dispersal systems are fully operational, and cleaning frequencies for runways, roads, and pedestrian areas have been heightened. Special
anti-slip tapes have been installed on stairs and ramps. Furthermore, diagnostics have been carried out on substations, lighting systems, and diesel generators to avert potential malfunctions.

Teymur Hasanov, the airport’s director, emphasized the airport’s commitment to passenger comfort and safety, stating, “Our top priority is to provide passengers with the highest level of comfort and safety at any time of the year, ensuring that every journey starts smoothly and pleasantly, leaving lasting and memorable impressions.”
