Baku: More than 1,000 tickets have been sold for the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku train route within a short period, Azerbaijan Railways informed APA-Economics. The rapid sale of tickets has resulted in over 400 tickets being sold from Baku and over 500 from Tbilisi.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the high demand for tickets has prompted Azerbaijan Railways to add an extra carriage to the first train departing from Baku to accommodate more passengers. However, the surge in ticket sales has caused delays in the ticket sales system and at ticket offices.
Azerbaijan Railways issued a statement apologizing for the temporary inconvenience and requested passengers to be understanding of the situation. The train service on this route is scheduled to begin operations from Baku on May 25 and from Tbilisi on May 26.
