Hikmet Hajiyev Highlights Azerbaijan’s Commitment to Regional Peace

Khankendi: Azerbaijan will continue to exert additional efforts to establish lasting peace in the region, as articulated by Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration. Addressing representatives of the diplomatic corps at the Khankendi Cultural Center, Hajiyev remarked on the transition into an era of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, marking the one-year anniversary of the initialing of the peace agreement in August.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Hajiyev expressed that living under peace is a new direction for the region, reflecting President Ilham Aliyev's sentiment that the conflict has concluded for Azerbaijan. Hajiyev reiterated the nation's commitment to exert additional efforts to establish and consolidate lasting peace. He also acknowledged the importance of reconstruction and rebuilding initiatives as foundational steps toward achieving sustainable peace on the ground.
