Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, emphasized the mutual benefits of conducting military exercises in Azerbaijan for all members of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). He made these remarks while addressing a press conference that reviewed the year's outcomes, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Bayramov highlighted that the OTS has identified approximately 35 areas of collaboration. He noted that the organization has been actively engaging in cooperation across a spectrum of fields. In 2025, the OTS expanded its cooperative efforts by incorporating civil defense and emergency response into its agenda. Bayramov pointed out that Azerbaijan was involved in 18 bilateral and multilateral exercises in Trkiye in 2025, while Trkiye participated in four military exercises held in Azerbaijan. Additionally, Azerbaijan took part in exercises in Uzbekistan.
Bayramov expressed his belief that the exercises conducted in Azerbaijan align with the interests of all OTS members. He also suggested the possibility of non-OTS countries joining these exercises in the future, further broadening the scope of international military collaboration under the OTS framework.
