SHUSHA:The construction of the new hospital in Shusha city is nearing completion, set to significantly enhance medical services in the region, according to Aydin Karimov, the Azerbaijani president's special representative in the Shusha district. The announcement came during the IV meeting of health ministers from the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Shusha. According to Trend News Agency, Karimov highlighted the progress in the city following the 44-day Second Karabakh War, stating that the restoration and construction efforts in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur are well underway. 'Measures have commenced to deliver superior medical services to individuals employed here. Azerbaijani physicians commenced their duties in Shusha from the inaugural day. For the fourth consecutive year, physicians have been rendering their services in Shusha, as well as throughout Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur," Karimov added. The meeting, organized by the OTS and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Health, was attended by the O TS Secretary General, health ministers from member and observer countries, and invited scholars from various countries. The agenda included the signing of bilateral memoranda of understanding between the health ministers and the establishment of a "Protocol of intent to establish Turktransplant," a new initiative aimed at enhancing health cooperation among the OTS member states. The completion of the Shusha city hospital is expected to play a crucial role in improving healthcare accessibility and quality for the residents of Shusha and the surrounding regions, marking a significant milestone in the area's recovery and development efforts.
