Budapest: Hungary views Kazakhstan as a crucial partner in fostering East-West cooperation, as stated by Hungarian President Tam¡s Schujok during discussions with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The meeting underscored Kazakhstan’s significant role in Hungary’s foreign policy.

According to Trend News Agency, President Schujok highlighted the deep historical ties between Hungary and Kazakhstan, emphasizing their enduring strength. He noted Hungary’s longstanding interest in its Eastern roots, positioning the country as a bridge between Central Asia and Central Europe. The relationship between the two nations was further solidified in 2014 with the signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement, which has led to expanding economic cooperation and notable cultural and educational exchanges.

The talks between the leaders covered various aspects of bilateral cooperation, such as trade and investment, energy and nuclear sectors, transport and logistics, finance, digitalization, and artificial intelligence. Both presidents expressed their commitment to aligning their countries’ approaches to international policy issues and pledged to continue their collaboration within multilateral frameworks.
