“According to its mandate, the ICRC regularly visited the released people to assess the treatment of detainees and conditions of detention, as well as help to ensure that the detained individuals could maintain contact with their families,” said Ilaha Huseynova, Head of the Public Relations Department of the ICRC office in Baku, APA reports.

“The ICRC has also created conditions to restore or continue their relations with the families of these persons. We also met and talked with these people before the handover. All of them expressed their desire to return,” she noted.
