Baku: Ignazio Cassis, the Federal Councillor and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, has expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan's role in the peace process. During a joint press conference held with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Cassis highlighted the strategic geopolitical position of Azerbaijan, which has enabled it to become a crucial hub in regional dynamics.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Swiss Foreign Minister underscored the progress made in the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, noting that a year had passed since the initialing of the peace agreement. Cassis commended Azerbaijan's contributions to advancing the peace process, emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation between the two countries.
