Aghdam:The Imarat Complex in Aghdam has transitioned from being merely a historical monument to a popular tourist destination, as stated by Emin Huseynov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts. He shared this development with journalists, as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, one of the main objectives behind the restoration efforts in the liberated territories is to revive historical and cultural heritage sites. The Imarat Complex serves as a prime example of this initiative, having been transformed into a reserve that attracts numerous tourists daily, including foreign visitors. These guests are offered insights into the history of Karabakh, the Karabakh Khanate, and the Imarat Complex itself.
Emin Huseynov further noted that the strategy applied to the Imarat Complex will extend to other historical and cultural sites. The aim is not only to preserve these restored sites but also to integrate them into public life and the tourism industry.
The restoration of the Imarat Complex in Aghdam underscores Azerbaijan's commitment to preserving cultural heritage in its liberated territories, as emphasized by Huseynov.
