Baku:The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has projected that Azerbaijan's external economic position will improve more rapidly in 2026 than previously anticipated, as reported by APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, this expectation was outlined in the IMF's report published in October 2026. The report attributes the accelerated improvement in the economic positions of both Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan primarily to increased oil revenues.
Moreover, the IMF forecasts that Azerbaijan will persist with its fiscal consolidation policy. The Fund's assessment indicates that both Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are expected to continue implementing measures towards fiscal consolidation in 2026, with Azerbaijan's policy anticipated to extend beyond 2026.
