Impact Pioneers Programme Concludes Swedish Week in Stockholm

Stockholm:The Swedish week of the 'Impact Pioneers 26 EUROPE' programme, organized by the Swedish Institute, took place in Stockholm from September 27 to October 3. The event focused on 'Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Resilient Futures' and gathered nearly 50 ecosystem leaders and experts from various sectors across Eastern Europe, the Baltic region, and Sweden.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the programme aimed to foster cooperation among entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems, support green transition initiatives, and promote knowledge exchange. Key areas discussed included renewable energy, urban infrastructure, waste management, and circular economy practices.

Azerbaijan was represented by delegates from organizations such as Baku Metro CJSC, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, and the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency, among others. Participants engaged in discussions on financing green innovations, public-private partnerships, and scaling successful initiatives. They also visited significant sites like Norrsken House and KTH Innovation, central to Stockholm's innovation landscape.

The programme highlighted sustainable urban development in Stockholm, with visits to projects like Norra Djurg¥rdsstaden and Hammarby Sj¶stad's integrated systems. The 'Re Cities - International Forum' at Kulturhuset facilitated discussions on sustainable city development and international partnerships.

The Azerbaijani delegation met with Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Sweden, Elnur Sultanov, to discuss Azerbaijan's green transition and potential collaboration with Sweden. The Swedish Week offered participants opportunities to exchange experiences, establish partnerships, and refine initiatives using international best practices, laying the groundwork for future joint projects and cooperation.
