Indian Ambassador Attends Watercolor Festival ‘Caspian Waves’ 2026 in Baku

Baku: Ambassador of India to Azerbaijan, Abhay Kumar, attended the opening ceremony of the International Watercolor Festival 'Caspian Waves' 2026 in Baku and delivered a keynote address, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ambassador Kumar emphasized the role of art and culture in fostering mutual understanding, friendship, and people-to-people ties among nations. He praised the organizers for assembling prominent watercolor artists from multiple countries, creating a platform for creative dialogue and cultural exchange.

On the sidelines of the festival, Ambassador Kumar met Indian watercolor artists Kalidas Satardekar, Gade Rajkumar, Bharat Pandit, and Rajesh Ajgaonkar, whose works are being exhibited at the event. He congratulated the artists on representing India at the international festival, showcasing the diversity and richness of Indian artistic traditions.

The International Watercolor Festival 'Caspian Waves' 2026, organized by International Watercolor Society Azerbaijan, has gathered professional watercolor artists from various countries for exhibitions, live painting sessions, and cultural activities.
