Baku: A roundtable dedicated to the housing rights of indigenous peoples has been organized within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku, APA-Economics reports. The event, titled 'Adequate Housing for All Indigenous Peoples in Their Diversity,' focuses on building housing policies that respect land rights, cultural identity, and traditional lifestyles.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the agenda addresses issues such as preventing forced displacement, providing housing for indigenous women, protecting land rights, and increasing the participation of local communities in decision-making processes. The session has gathered representatives from the United Nations, governments, civil society, and indigenous communities from various countries.

The primary objective of the discussions is to share the challenges faced by indigenous peoples regarding housing provision and to highlight successful practices implemented in this area.
