Initialing of Peace Agreement Heralds New Era for South Caucasus

Gabala: The initialing of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, held at the White House in Washington two months ago, is poised to transform the South Caucasus into a region of peace, President Ilham Aliyev stated during his address at the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized the significance of the joint call to dissolve the OSCE Minsk Group and related structures during the Washington summit. He also highlighted the OSCE’s decision on 1 September, which marked the end of these remnants of the former conflict.
