Gabala: The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, announced that 2026 will mark significant anniversaries for two renowned poets, Alisher Navoi and Nizami Ganjavi. The statement was made during the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Turkic Council.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Mirziyoyev revealed that next year will see the 585th anniversary of Alisher Navoi’s birth and the 885th anniversary of Nizami Ganjavi. In light of these milestones, he proposed the organization of conferences dedicated to celebrating the legacies of these literary figures.
