Baku: The forecasted weather conditions in Azerbaijan for February 27 have been announced, the National Hydrometeorological Service told APA. It has been predicted that the country will experience significant snowfall, leading to freezing roads, particularly in Baku and the Absheron peninsula. Snowfall is expected to intensify in certain regions of the peninsula at night, although it is anticipated to gradually cease by the second half of the day. The northwest wind will transition to a moderate southwest wind as the day progresses.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the air temperature is expected to remain between 1-3° frost both at night and during the day. Atmospheric pressure will reach 768 mm of mercury column, which is above the normal level. Relative humidity will range from 70-80% at night to 60-65% during daylight hours. The conditions pose a risk of roads freezing during the night and morning, creating hazardous travel conditions.

In the districts of Azerbaijan, intermittent rain and snow are forecasted. Some areas may experience intense rainfall, but it is expected to weaken as the day continues. Occasional fog is likely to appear in certain regions, while a mild westerly wind may strengthen sporadically. In mountainous areas, temperatures will vary significantly, with nighttime temperatures ranging from 10-15° frost in high altitudes and 0-5° frost during the day. The temperature is expected to be 0-5° frost at night and 3-8° heat during the day in other mountainous areas. Road freezing is anticipated in some locations during the night and morning.
