Aghdam: An international scientific and practical conference dedicated to Sheikh Seyyid Yahya Bakuvi Shirvani took place in Aghdam as part of the 7th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Administrations of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). The event commenced with the playing of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, addressed the conference, highlighting the destruction of more than 67 mosques and temples in Garabagh during the occupation. He also mentioned the vandalism inflicted upon the Aghdam Juma Mosque.

Emin Huseynov, the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan for the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, discussed ongoing restoration and reconstruction efforts in Aghdam. Other speakers at the conference underscored the significance of peace, stability, and the restoration of religious heritage in the liberated areas.

After the conference, attendees performed prayers at the Aghdam Juma Mosque and paid their respects at the Alley of Martyrs. The conference participants are scheduled to visit Khojaly and Shusha later in the afternoon.
