Lachin: An international film festival featuring the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is in the planning stages, announced Tahir Ikhanov, the executive director of the Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund of the CIS member states. This announcement was made during a round table discussion titled “Development of Modern Film Production in the CIS Countries,” organized by the Ministry of Culture and the special representation of the President of Azerbaijan in the Lachin district.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ikhanov emphasized that various international film events are already being hosted in the CIS member states, which significantly contribute to the progress of their film industry. He mentioned that the upcoming festival is anticipated to provide substantial support to the film industry across the member states.
