International Travelers’ Club Explores Historic Shusha

Shusha:A group of 40 international travelers from the Most Traveled People (MTP) club visited Shusha as part of a tour through Garabagh and East Zangezur. The delegation, led by American traveler and MTP founder Charles Veley, included participants from 13 countries.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the travelers explored Shusha's central square, observing the bullet-riddled monuments of Natavan, Bulbul, and Uzeyir Hajibeyli. They received briefings on the city's history, its state during a 30-year occupation, and the extensive ongoing restoration efforts to revive its historic character and infrastructure following its liberation.

The itinerary included visits to the Ashaghi Govhar Agha Mosque, Sadigjan's House Museum, Khurshidbanu Natavan's house, the Khan's Daughter Spring, and Shusha's fortress walls. The visit concluded at the Jidir Duzu plain, where travelers admired the breathtaking natural scenery of the area.

This tour is the 17th organized visit by leading international travelers' clubs to the region between 2021 and 2026. Such tours offer participants a chance to witness firsthand the large-scale reconstruction and restoration activities in the liberated territories.
