Iran Allocates Funds to Enhance Road and Railway Infrastructure

Tehran:Iran has recently allocated significant funds to improve its road and railway infrastructure, according to Masoumeh Aghapour, an adviser to the Iranian President on economic cooperation issues.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Aghapour highlighted that positive changes have occurred at customs checkpoints post-war, with amended regulations facilitating work and increased attention on non-oil exports. Efforts have been made to bring non-oil products to market effectively.

She noted that once current issues are resolved and economic sanctions lifted, there should be a substantial increase in focus on non-oil exports and technology- and knowledge-based sectors.

Aghapour also discussed the acceleration of financing for the Astara section of the North-South Corridor, emphasizing that the East-West Corridor is also receiving special attention. Positive developments are anticipated at border customs checkpoints.

Despite potential threats, she stated that many domestic producers have successfully ensured the production of goods previously imported, standing resilient in the face of economic challenges.
